We work in seven strategic areas
Electricity: sector data, modeling and planning, regulation, market instruments, and just energy transition.
Oil, gas, and alternative fuels: civil society observatory (OBMEM), mitigation scenarios and green hydrogen and ammonia as energy vectors.
Transportation and electromobility: mitigation scenarios, greenhouse gas and pollutant modeling, and financial mechanisms.
Project implementation: financial mechanisms, regulation and structuring and implementation of projects.
Economics and trade: macroeconomic analysis and economic instruments.
Industry: mitigation scenarios, steel and green products and value chains and life cycle assessment.
Integrated systems: decarbonization pathways and modeling aligned with climate policy.

Del 10 al 21 de noviembre de 2025, se celebrará en Belém do Pará, Brasil, la Conferencia de las Partes (COP30), el encuentro global más importante sobre cambio climático.
IDEA como parte de la red internacional de think tanks, hospedamos la reunión anual del INETTT en donde las discusiones y talleres enriquecieron nuestro trabajo por la transición energética justa.
